Forwards and Substitutes

Charlie Austin, Striker – 6

Not able to do much but Saints faced heavy Spurs pressure when he was on. One snap shot on the turn that was blocked.

Shane Long, 1st Substitute – 7

The combination of Long, Sims and Redmond really troubled Spurs in the second period. However, the Irishman went off injured despite only coming on at the break.

Josh Sims, 2nd Substitute – 8

Introduced with Long as Hasenhuttl looked to introduce more pace for Saints and did superbly.

His pace and direct running certainly worried Spurs and Hasenhuttl knows he has another good option from the bench now.

Stuart Armstrong, 3rd Substitute – 7

Also made an impact when coming off the bench by setting up Valery’s equaliser.
