England don’t have anyone like the current JWP

England have good options to choose from in midfield but Ward-Prowse’s current performances have seen a player emerge that England don’t currently possess.

Operating from an advanced midfield role, he has displayed great traits in attack and good defensive capabilities too.

Players such as Declan Rice, Fabian Delph, Eric Dier and Jordan Henderson may be good in possession and disciplined defensively but they don’t offer much going forward.

Ward-Prowse could provide a forward thrust when attacking, whilst also giving more defensively than Dele Alli, Ruben Loftus-Cheek or Ross Barkley.
