Stuart Armstrong and Jan Bednarek both saw their countries win today but only Armstrong saw time on the pitch as Bednarek was left out due to illness.

Scotland had a qualifier against San Marino today and redeemed themselves after their loss to Kazakhstan earlier in the week. Stuart Armstrong started in the central midfield today and played a total of 71 minutes before he was subbed off for James Forest.

Scotland dominated the game and won 2-0. Stu, completed 81% of his passes and managed to fire off 4 shots in total. 2 of those managed to find the target but he couldn’t manage to find the back of the net.

Saints U18s set for new Spurs stadium opener tomorrow. dark. Next

In a game where the Scots saw 76% it was a comfortable win for them and allowed the players to try a lot of shots in the match. Armstrong had a decent international break where he saw his country win one and lose one. Looking forward to seeing him back in the red and white soon though!

Jan Bednarek, on the other hand was not included in the Polish squad today that won 2-0 against Latvia. Saint fans were concerned to not see his name included on the team sheet but all is well and he should be able to return for Saints in full health.

The defender’s nation managed to win both of their games this break and keep 2 clean sheets so that is something he can bring back to the club and help keep his confidence as a defender high.

The international break is nearly over and I think I speak for all of us when I say the match against Brighton cannot come soon enough.
