Brighton 1-2 Saints – League One, 23rd April 2011

This was the second of six consecutive wins at the end of 2010/11 for Saints and it came in dramatic style too.

Brighton had already secured promotion from League One as champions at this stage but Saints were in pursuit of the second automatic promotion spot.

Gus Poyet’s home side found themselves ahead on 45 minutes but a late comeback saw Nigel Adkins and Saints take the win.

David Connolly levelled the game up on 84 minutes and Jose Fonte’s header with one minute of normal time left completed the turnaround.
