Southampton vs. Liverpool: Premier League – Opposition Threats

Southampton face a stern test as they welcome title chasing Liverpool to St Mary’s.

The last time these two sides met the Reds cruised to a 3-0 victory over a sedate Mark Hughes side. Goals from Joël Matip, Mohamed Salah, and an own goal from Wesley Hoedt were enough to seal all three points for Jürgen Klopp’s men.

The hosts have improved a lot under the invigorating stewardship of Ralph Hasenhüttl, but even so to end Friday night with a positive result is going to be a tough ask.
