Mohamed Salah-Attacker

Given the two clubs’ recent and numerous transfer dealings, you could be forgiven for not realizing that Liverpool actually have key players who have as yet not played for Southampton. Nevertheless, Mohamed Salah is one such man.

Since joining from Roma in 2017, Salah has put England’s top flight on notice. The Egyptians scored a whopping 32 Premier League goals last term.

While this season hasn’t been quite as impressive, he has still managed a respectable 17 strikes. Unfortunately, for the attacker he has failed to score in his last seven appearances. As a friendly pessimist might say that surely means he’s due one. (Stats via Premier League website.)

Despite the mini drought, Salah is going to be a threat to the hosts. With several other potent threats in a lethal frontline, even the distraction of Salah could prove crucial for LFC, as they look to overload the Saints.
