Wolves 0-6 Saints, Championship, 2006/07

This result at Molineux remains the joint-best win that Saints have ever recorded away from home in their history.

They arrived in the Midlands with seven Championship games remaining in the season and put on a superb show of finishing to put six past their hosts.

Polish striker Marek Saganowski would net a brilliant hat-trick – including an audacious lob from well outside the area – whilst an own-goal from Gary Breen and further strikes from Leon Best and Andrew Surman completed the rout.

This was Saints’ second season back in the second-tier and they would go on to finish in the play-offs before losing in the semi-finals over two legs to Derby County.
