Saints 2-0 Wolves, FA Cup, 2002/03

Saints beat Wolves here in the FA Cup Quarter-Finals to set up a semi-final clash with Watford.

They would eventually make it to the final at the Millenium Stadium but lose out narrowly to Arsenal by a score of 1-0.

Saints midfielder Chris Marsden opened the scoring when he hooked in from a corner, and a second came rather fortuitously when Wolves captain Paul Butler inadvertently turned a cross into his own net nine minutes from time.

This season proved a fantastic one for Saints as they contested the cup final and finished 8th in the league after accumulating 52 points.
