Another forward who works incredibly hard for his side, Perez has recently hit a purple patch in front of goal.
Adept at playing up top or in any supporting position, the movement and work ethic of the Spaniard means he gives opponents no time to rest. With three goals in his last five league games, including the winner against Leicester last time out, Rafa Benitez will hope he can continue to deliver and push Newcastle further up the table.
The 25 year old has seven Premier League goals this season, and will have his sights set on hitting 10 before the season end, starting with Southampton.
