Saints 3-2 Sheffield United, Championship, 4th May 2008
Saints confirmed their safety in the Championship with a dramatic last day win over Sheffield United here.
Three points for Nigel Pearson’s side condemned Leicester City to relegation to League One, although Saints would suffer the same fate the following campaign.
Top scorer Stern John bagged a clinical brace to end the season on 19 league goals, whilst fellow striker Marek Saganowski had levelled the scores in the first-half.
