Relegated Huddersfield travel to St Mary’s with nothing but pride at stake in a clash with Southampton. 

For much of the season, Southampton have languished in and around the bottom three but a strong final third of the season has seen them climb to safety under Ralph Hasenhuttl’s stewardship.

Huddersfield have shown pluck and spirit aplenty this season but have lacked the quality required to stay in Europe’s top league. A shaky defence, coupled with a strike force bereft of a genuine goal scoring threat, has meant that Huddersfield have finished bottom of the Premier League in a classic case of second season syndrome.

Nevertheless, a gritty 1-1 draw against a sub par Manchester United side last week will give manager Jan Siewert belief that they can return from the South Coast with some points.

For Saints, Sunday will be a chance to end the season on a high and if results go their way, they could finish as high as 15th. Here are three of the main threats from the Huddersfield side:
