Erik Franzo – Yan Valery

Yan Valery is an incredible young talent at his position and deserves recognition here.  A lot of fans were not sure if he was ready, but Hasenhuttl dismissed Cedric Soares and put all his trust in the Frenchman from the moment he took the helm. For me, that was all I needed to know.

He appeared in every Premier League game Hasenhuttl managed outside Newcastle away which he was ill for, and showed steady improvement from season’s start to finish.  I honestly believe this kid will be playing Champions League football in years to come, so let us enjoy him while we have him.
