Joe McIndoe – Saints 3-2 Arsenal

The home match against Arsenal marked Ralph Hasenhüttl’s first win a Southampton boss. What’s more the result ended Arsenal’s 22 game unbeaten run, whilst securing only our second top-flight win of the season.

Hasenhüttl reintroduce the pressing system and Saints were uncharacteristically clinical, hitting the back of the net a whopping three times.

The match showcased the template for long missed enjoyable football. Doubtless aided by the free booze on offer, the faithful serenaded the team to victory and then revelled in the long-awaited win.

A truly fantastic day at St Mary’s.
