Southampton: A look back on Saints’ last five Premier League opening fixtures

The Premier League fixtures are released at 9am tomorrow morning and Southampton will be one of the sides awaiting their opening day opponents.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men will be in action for the first time in 2019/20 on the weekend of the 10th August, and they will be hoping to start in better fashion than previous sides.

Saints have failed to get an opening day victory in each of the past five seasons, with their last win coming back in 2013/14 at West Brom.
