According to a report from Teamtalk, the 23-year-old Targett is getting interest from Premier League teams which include both Liverpool and Arsenal.

The article states that Liverpool are interested in the Englishman because of the departure of Alberto Moreno and Arsenal have interest because they have a slightly smaller than usual transfer budget this summer and Emery will be forced to make some deals.

It has been well known that the club is looking to profit of Targett and allow him to go to another club this season but most supporters assumed it would be either Aston Villa or Fulham who would wind-up with the left-back.

It comes as a bit of a surprise that two of the bigger clubs in England have interest in Targett but if you start thinking about it, it makes sense. Targett would be an upgrade from Alberto Moreno and would be a relatively cheap purchase for either Liverpool or Arsenal.

Also in the hunt to sign the defender are Leicester and Newcastle. As much as a player would love to play and Anfield or the Emirates, I would have to believe Targett would want a move that would allow him to play first-team football and give himself a chance to make the national team in the near future.

If and when, Targett is sold, undoubtedly the Saints will be in the market for a new left-back. It has been rumored that even Bertrand could be sold for the right price this summer.

The club has yet to sell anyone this transfer window but when that first piece drops I have to think the sales will come fast and furious. Hopefully the club makes a good profit off of these players and we can really make a splash with our purchases.
