Danish international Dolberg burst onto the scene with a superb haul of 23 goals in all competitions back in 2016/17

Despite not repeating this form, the 21-year-old has continued to score regularly for Ajax and remains a player who could become a world superstar in the future.

Italian outlet calciomercato.com reported back in February that Saints and West Ham were interested in taking him from Amsterdam.

Dolberg is a different type of striker to Adams, Lookman and Augustin but could prove a good purchase at St Mary’s.
