It proved to be a season of woe for Fulham in 2018/19 but one positive aspect proved to be the goals of Mitrovic.

He netted 11 times in a dis-functioning side and the Express linked the Serbian with a £30m move to Saints back in May.

Whilst they may not be able to shell out this size of fee on one player, the need for a striker may force a big outlay somewhen this summer.

A target man like Mitrovic may not be what Ralph Hasenhuttl looks to bring in either with significant pace vital for his style of football.
