Adam Lallana
One of the more surprising links of the window so far saw former Saints captain Adam Lallana linked with a move back to St Mary’s in a report from the Express.
The 31-year-old has fallen out of favour at Liverpool and could well look for another club for regular first-team football after playing just 568 competitive minutes in 2018/19.
Lallana’s creative style and ability to play in attacking-midfield could suit the Saints setup under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
However, Saints are said to be looking at younger players with potential rather than others who are potentially past their prime.
