Southampton: Five wingers who have been linked to Saints this summer

Back in April, TEAMtalk published a report saying that Saints were one of four Premier League clubs looking at Hoffenheim winger Grifo.

They were said to have joined Bournemouth, Everton and Watford in the race to secure his signature this summer.

The Italian spent the 2018/19 season on-loan at Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga rivals Freiburg, scoring six goals and laying on four assists for teammates in 16 appearances.

Grifo also had a previous spell with Freiburg from 2015 to 2017 and built a reputation as a major creative force.
