Southampton: Three late transfer window updates as Saints look to do business

Final deals in the summer transfer window will be being lined up by clubs up and down England, and Southampton are likely to be no different.

The Saints have brought in attackers in Che Adams and Moussa Djenepo so far but are said to be looking for defensive options as the new Premier League season approaches.

However, their ability to bring in a further signing or two is reportedly dependent on offloading fringe players like Charlie Austin, Mario Lemina and Guido Carrillo first.

With the transfer window closing at 5pm on Thursday evening, here are three of the latest developments in potential moves that could be made:
