Mohamed Elyounoussi’s first season for Southampton could only be described as forgettable and now he me be on the way out to start over at a new club.

According to a report from the Norwegian site Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad, Moi is being linked to the Turkish club Besiktas and surprisingly fellow English club Stoke.

It has been reported that Moi, is the Turkish club’s top target and they are keen to bring him in to help bolster their attack and win the Turkish Super Lig again.

The English window is rapidly coming to a close so if Stoke would like to get a deal done they will have to work fast because Besiktas will have extra time due to the their window not closing for a little bit longer.

The attacker came into the club last summer as one of our more exciting signing and the expectations were there for him to perform from the start. Whether it was the style of football the team played or a tough time adjusting to the Premier League or even a lack of confidence, Moi did not have a successful season and quickly missed out on chances to prove himself to both Hughes and Hasenhuttel.

It would probably be for the best for both parties if they went their separate ways. At this point, I do not see a path for the Norwegian attacker to break into the first team again.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely the club will recoup the full cost of bringing in the player last season but some money is better than no money and the club still needs to potentially make a move for a Centre-back so they better get a move on.

Hopefully the deal gets done and the club is not stuck with another player who is not contributing to the club.
