Q4) Saints have made some very decent deadline day signings in the past. Which of these was the best signing and why?

Alderweireld was a real Rolls Royce at the heart of our defence and I would have him back in heartbeat. I appreciate that other deadline day signings have either brought us money in sales (Mane) or contributed more to key moments (Gabbi) but even despite that, Alderweireld would be my pick.  When playing alongside Jose Fonte, we looked impregnable at times and the Belgian always looked like he had more time than others. Decent on the ball, he could be robust when required and complemented Fonte’s watchfulness and ability to lead the defensive line.
