On deadline day, Southampton have announced striker Charlie Austin has completed a move to West Brom on a permanent deal.

The club has said the deal was completed for an undisclosed amount but it is being rumored that West Brom paid around £4m for the out-of-favor striker.

In a short statement on the club site they thanked the striker for his three-and-a-half season at the club and for the goals he scored during his time with the club.

As for the supporters this moves is a sigh of relief as many believed we were going to be stuck with the striker until the end of his contract this season and not get anything for him.

Austin, will undoubtedly prove to be useful for Championship-side West Brom as they hunt to regain promotion back to the Premier League this season and also sold another former Saint striker, Jay Rodriguez, to Burnley.

Now with this move complete the club will look to get other business done before the transfer window slams shut until January. Whether that be selling other players or bringing in that final player to complete the squad before the new campaign kicks off in just a few days.

There is not as much pressure to sell players though due to other transfer windows not closing as early as the English window does (If the players are being sold to other countries of course).

I think the Saints have one more move up their sleeves before the end of the day. Will it be small or big? We will not know until it is announced but knowing Hasenhuttl it will be a for a player he feels will contribute to the club and its success this upcoming Premier League Season.
