Burnley 3-0 Southampton: Three Key Moments that decided the game

Southampton slumped to a 3-0 loss to Burnley on the opening weekend of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Three second-half goals saw the Clarets take full control of the game, whilst the Saints defence did little to effectively stop their opponents in the end.

The newly implemented VAR technology also played a part in the game at Turf Moor, and fans, players and staff will now be more aware of the procedures that take place with the new system in play.

After a positive pre-season and a good summer window, today’s result will have sent Ralph Hasenhuttl and his men straight back down to earth and given them a reality check ahead of facing Liverpool next weekend.
