Ball given away in defence and Firmino scores

Saints would have felt in the game whilst Liverpool were only 1-0 ahead.

However, they contributed to their own downfall in the 71st minute by ceasing possession to their opponents in a dangerous position, and Roberto Firmino eventually made them pay.

Jan Bednarek was caught on the ball by Sadio Mane, who then found Firmino just inside the area. The Brazilian forced his way across the box and cut a firm shot back into the left corner of the net.

Whilst the overall performance was better from Saints today and they caused Liverpool problems, slight lapses in defence clearly still remain.
