Southampton will look to get their first points of the Premier League season today as they return to St Mary’s.

However, the task that faces them couldn’t be much tougher with Liverpool arriving on the South Coast.

This fixture last season saw a determined display from Saints, but late goals from Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson saw the Reds claim 3-1 victory.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has a full strength side to choose from today though, whilst Liverpool have been dealt a blow by injuries to both Alisson and Adrian; their first and second-choice goalkeepers.

Saints will need to put in a faultless display to come away with a result but will be buoyed by a sold out St Mary’s crowd.
