Redmond will need to track Alexander-Arnold’s runs from deep to try and limit his effectiveness. The Liverpool man flying forward could therefore stop Redmond from attacking himself.

The Saints forward does like to cut inside and open up space for a shot or an incisive pass, and it will be vital that his teammates make good runs through to try and breach the visiting defence.

Redmond was directly involved in 15 goals in all competitions last season, whilst Alexander-Arnold contributed 16 assists and one goal. Their importance to their respective teams cannot be understated.
