An exciting match that saw hosts, Southampton, fall to the reigning European Champions but they could have easily came away from the match with a point.

The Saints, looked a lot more resilient than they did the previous match against Burnley. The press was in full effect and at moments the home side looked the better team. Even though they have no points to show for it, this was a very positive performance for the club and they need to carry this momentum into the next match.
