The Moroccan international took to twitter Wednesday to tell supporters he is committed to Southampton and not looking to move this season.

There has been some recent speculation that Sofiane Boufal’s time could be coming to an end this transfer window with a number of clubs interested in the skillful winger. But, Boufal came out and quickly dispelled the rumors saying he is “100% focused on my club,” and denied any information about a transfer this summer.

The full tweet can be seen below in the original French.

With the departures of both Elyounoussi and Lemina looking imminent, Boufal will have a role to play in this squad. It is a very young side and having someone with both Premier League and La Liga experience will help out in the long run.

He seems to be more mature this time around with the club and more determined to make an impact. It could have to do with having a manager who believes in him and he believes in the manager.

Whatever the case may be, it appears Boufal is here to stay and he is happy about it. He seems to have made quick friends with Moussa Djenepo and the thought of those two on the same pitch brings a smile to most supporter’s faces.

Southampton, take on Brighton, Saturday and absolutely need to take points away from this match to get the goose egg off the board. There is a good chance I believe we see Boufal make an appearance and hopefully he can make a play or two that grabs us some points.
