Brighton vs Southampton: Where the game will be won and lost
By Marc Walker
Saints attack vs Brighton defence
Brighton boss Graham Potter has gone with a back three in his side’s opening two league fixtures of the season – and the call has been justified with a comprehensive win and a draw.
This has given the Seagulls great control over possession, which is very much how Potter wants his teams to play.
However, a central defence of Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy and Dan Burn may well struggle against one thing, and that one thing is significant pace.
With Che Adams and Nathan Redmond both likely to start, their runs in behind will be key to unsettling a back line whose strengths lie in blocking and dominance in the air.
