Southampton will be looking for their third win in three games as they host Manchester United at St.Marys on Saturday.

In their most recent victory, the Saints strolled to success and knocked Championship outfit Fulham out of the Carabao Cupsetting up a much anticipated tie with rivals Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

Not partaking in the second round of the cup due to their European commitments, all of the Red Devils fixtures have taken place in the league – picking up four points in three matches.

A victory for the home side would see the Saints leapfrog Manchester United and jump all the way up to at least fourth in the table. However, it must be said that the likelihood of Southampton finishing in a Champions League spot by the end of the game week is rather slim, with the red and whites simply moving up into such a position due to the fact the match is the first game of the weekend.

Recapping seasons encounters, the pair shared nine goals over the two games – with the match at St.Marys ending 2-2.
