Ralph Hasenhuttl will have history stacked against him this Saturday with the visit of Manchester United on the south-coast, who are undefeated in their last 11 away matches against Southampton in all competitions.

Current form might suggest otherwise; with the Saints having beaten Brighton and Fulham away back-to-back this past week and the Red Devils having lost their most recent Premier League outing against Crystal Palace which could be considered a shock result.

Though in typical fashion Manchester United are tipped heavily to come out with the three-points at St. Mary’s due to the individual talent in which they posses, even with Anthony Martial looking to be ruled out of this tie.

Likewise, Southampton will be missing one or two key men with Nathan Redmond and Moussa Djenepo all but confirmed to be on the sidelines for Saturday’s game after both picked up knocks against Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

Despite the absentees, this match should still offer up some intriguing key battles across the pitch; and in particular showcase weaknesses and strengths of both sides, so what could they be?
