McCarthy, quickly gained the love of the supporters when he took over in net for an out-of-form Fraser Forster.

A 77 rating may seem a bit low for a player who possess the ability of the Englishman (who also earned a national team call-up), but we have to keep in mind that the team the season prior finished 17th and all of the players overall rating likely took a ding because of it.

McCarthy, is a good goalkeeper, it is hard to deny him that, but he did lose his job to Angus Gunn after a dip in his form and has only seen the pitch in cup matches and towards the end of the season last season. For that reason, I believe we will not see a change in his overall between the two versions of the game
