England Women 0-0 Wales Women, 6th April 2018

There may have been no goals in this contest between the Lionesses and Wales but it was a landmark occasion nonetheless.

25,000 fans watched the game at St Mary’s and this was the biggest crowd for an England Women’s international outside Wembley since 2005.

Whilst a strong line-up couldn’t get the win they would have wanted in Phil Neville’s first home game in charge, they would qualify with ease for the 2019 World Cup and go on to finish fourth at the tournament.

This game is the only Women’s international that St Mary’s has hosted, but the stadium is a chosen venue for the Women’s Euros in 2021.
