England U21s 2-0 Norway U21s, 28th March 2011
Stuart Pearce was still in charge of England Under-21s for this fixture and saw his side warm up for that summer’s European Championship in comfortable fashion.
Two draws and a loss in their three group games in Denmark meant that they crashed out at the first stage of the tournament.
However, here at St Mary’s, they went ahead when Daniel Sturridge found the net from a cross from future Saints player Ryan Bertrand.
Their win was then rounded off by a fine goal from Danny Rose as he found the top corner following a positive run into the penalty area.
