Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse – 7

Ward-Prowse has not been playing particularly well this season but this was one of his better performances. He could have done better on some of his shots as 6 of his 7 shots were off target. His passing was sharp and created chances when he was able to pick out teammates in the final third.

Seeing the ball go into the net has to be a confidence builder and hopefully we see better performances from the Englishman from here on out.

Oriol Romeu – 7.5

The best performance of the day easily belonged to the Spaniard. He was phenomenal winning the ball back and complete 8 of the 10 tackles he attempted. Romeu has been great in the middle of the park for us all season and we will need him to continue this in the coming league games against Tottenham and Chelsea.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg –6

Hojbjerg, has had a dip in form recently and has just not been as sharp as we have seen him in the past. I am sure he will bounce back, it is still early in the season, but we are going to need the Dane to regain his form if we hope to get results in the coming matches.

Sofiane Boufal – 6.5

The Moroccan has taken his chance at earning a starting spot and grabbed it by the horns. He has been great on the ball and shows how he can impact a game when he gets his touches in. He got 3 shots off and they were all on target but he did not test the goalkeeper too much with them.

Moving forward he looks like he is going to be an important part of the team.
