Southampton make the long-awaited trip to Fratton Park on Tuesday evening to face Portsmouth in the latest instalment of the South Coast derby.

With Saints wanting to improve their good record against their arch-rivals, the gap between the two sides in terms of league places has never been bigger.

Ralph Hasenhuttl will have the higher quality players available to him but Pompey will be wanting to create a hostile atmosphere to unsettle their unwelcome opponents.

The sides have met on 38 occasions in the past, causing their fans to experience the full range of emotions that football brings; and tomorrow will surely be no different.
