Does James Ward-Prowse have a place in this current team?

An ever present this season, Ward-Prowse is a favourite of Hasenhuttl with his high work rate and technical ability. Yet with four at the back possibly looking a more viable option moving forwards and the plethora of attacking midfielders available, would Hasenhuttl be better looking at a move to 4-2-3-1 formation?

With Romeu and Hojbjerg offering protection to the back four, this could allow freedom for an attacking midfielder to play in the number 10 role. This could be Ward-Prowse but with Stuart Armstrong underused this season and Redmond, Boufal and Djenepo all capable of playing that role, it may be time for the 24 year old to make way.

Whichever way you look at it, Ward-Prowse is not suited to playing at wing back or on the right of a three man midfield and unless he is utilised further forward in a similar fashion to last season, his undeniable talents will continue to be wasted.
