Southampton will take on Chelsea on Sunday as the visitors look to win back-to-back premier league matches and the hosts look to bounce back.

The Saints have dropped their last two league matches and need to get a result against a tough young Chelsea side who can really fill it up.

Not too many injury concerns for either side, however the Saints will be without Cedric and Moussa Djenepo.

It will be a good match and both teams will have to think they have a chance at winning the match.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints have had some inconsistent performances thus far. One thing they do consistently is create chances at a high rate but they also continue to not be able to finish those chances.

The key to their success, not only for this match but for the whole season, will be if they can start putting the ball into the back of the net more efficiently.

We are not sure what formation Hasenhuttl will go with this match so that will be very interesting to watch. Will Bertrand start at RB? And Will Yan Valery start for an injured Cedric? All of those questions will be answered on Sunday.

Either way, Chelsea’s defense can be suspect at times so the Saints will have their chances. If they are to win they will have to finish the chances they get.

How Chelsea Will Win

Chelsea are a young team with some exciting talent that will be causing Southampton issues all match. Their striker Tammy Abraham has proven to be a natural goal scorer and will look to take advantage of Saints backline on Sunday.

The Blues have won 3 straight matches across all competitions and have been enjoying a nice run of form recently and will be playing with a lot of confidence going into this match.

Chelsea, much like Saints, are a team that create a lot of chances but have had their issues finishing them. This will really be a battle of who can be more clinical in front of net.
