Manchester City vs Southampton

Well, I will keep this one short and sweet. This match will be the second of the two matches played at the Etihad between this teams in a matter of 5-days. The Tuesday before this one the Carabao Cup tie between City and Saints is schedule and the Saints will be in for a tough couple of days

The defending champions have uncharacteristically dropped points early this season and will ensure they do not do so here. Likely the will play two different squads against us in the two matches it will be interesting to see which one they field the stronger side in. My guess is we will get the first team in the League and a mix of regular starters and youngsters in the cup.

If we can come out of these two matches with a better aggregate score than the 8-0 drubbing they dealt to Watford I will be willing to call that a small success.

Manchester City 3-1 Southampton
