Southampton are right back in the Etihad on Saturday and look to try and get a result on the second go around with the defending champions.

Well, here we go again with City and this time we will likely face a stronger side with more familiar names then the squad that Pep put out there for the cup tie.

It is going to be a tough game for Saints and it may be a case of just keeping the score line respectable but they can sneak out of the Etihad with a result.

How Manchester City Will Win

City, have loads of talent and we able to rest a good number of their players in the cup match during the week and now Southampton will likely face the likes of Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne. Quite simply, they are one of the best teams in the world and are going to be tough to beat.

The champs create goals like no other and can produce them in bunches. They will look to take advantage of a shaky Saints defense and want to put the game to bed early. They will attack quickly and if they can put in 2 or more in the first half you may see a more relaxed side in the second half.

How Southampton Will Win

The Saints will have to play a near perfect game if they hope to get a win in this match. The individual errors in defense will have to not show themselves on Saturday and they will need to be clinical in front of net when they get their few chances.

Nathan Redmond (as always) will be the key man to their success if they want to get a result. Highly unlikely this match ends 0-0 so they will need to score and the goals have to come from somebody other than Danny Ings.

It’s going to be a tough ask but City are not invincible and the Saints could really use a big result here
