Saints Defence

Following the previous game week against Manchester City; Southampton now have the worst defence in the Premier League at having shipped 27 goals in 11 games, which averages out at 2.45 goals shipped pg (per game).

With this, Hasenhuttl’s men have only kept two clean sheets in that time; ironically but obviously they have registered both of their wins in the Premier League when they have done this; and also in cup fixtures against Fulham and the four-nil thrashing of Portsmouth.

Granted, Norwich sit second at 26 goals shipped, and Southampton were made to look like boys against men when Leicester put nine past them at St. Mary’s, this record is concerning, to which Everton will be thinking they can pick up all three points thanks to thus standard of defending.

Richarlison, who currently has two league goals and two assists to his name, could cause Hasenhuttl’s men the biggest issue; especially if defenders such as Jannik Vestergaard and Jan Bednarek cough up individual errors, such has been an issue for Southampton of recent.
