Southampton: Three previous Saints home wins over Watford

Southampton host Watford on Saturday evening and will know that a win could transform their season.

A much-improved, battling display against Arsenal last weekend saw them come away with a 2-2 draw, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s players will know that they could have claimed a priceless win.

Watford also find themselves in trouble and are bottom of the Premier League table, but a victory would see them climb above both Saints and Norwich.

Last season saw two 1-1 draws played out between the two clubs, with the meeting at Vicarage Road particularly memorable for the fastest ever Premier League goal scored by Shane Long.
