Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Central-Midfield – 6

Another busy display but could he contribute slightly more going forward.

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield – 7

Took no less than 11 corners in the game, didn’t lose possession once and made the most interceptions in the Saints side. Slowly getting back to his best from last season?

Moussa Djenepo, Right-Wing – 6

A quiet game for the Malian and Saints will need him to step up again in upcoming games.

Nathan Redmond, Left-Wing – 7

Better from Redmond, but should have had at least one goal. Good work defensively with five tackles and six blocks but needs to get back to being relaxed on the pitch like he was last season.

Often rushes his decisions too much and could benefit from a brief rest.
