Southampton will need to claim points against West Ham on Saturday if they are to keep themselves as one of the prime candidates to escape relegation.

Two home wins boosted the mood around St Mary’s recently, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team reverted back to old habits last weekend when they surrendered a lead to lose.

West Ham themselves are in very poor form and have slid right into trouble at the bottom of the Premier League.

Manuel Pellegrini is under severe pressure and some reports have said that he could lose his job if his side lose to Saints.
