Peter Crouch

After impressing in his first spell with Portsmouth, Crouch joined Aston Villa for a significant £6m back in 2002.

However, his time at Villa Park proved to be less fruitful on the goal front with just six goals in 43 games.

Saints snapped him up from Villa in 2004 and he started to prove himself as a real goalscorer in the Premier League.

He found the net 15 times in 30 appearances before leaving at the end of the season to join Liverpool.
