Ryan Bertrand

Bertrand spent five months on loan with Aston Villa back in 2014 as he moved towards leaving Chelsea on a permanent basis.

He played 16 games at Villa Park before then being loaned out to Saints from Chelsea the following summer.

Coming in to replace Luke Shaw was a tough ask but he proved himself to be more than capable and signed permanently for £11m the following February.

His spell at St Mary’s has seen him with consistent first-team football for the past five years and he has made 184 appearances to date.
