Southampton moved out of the Premier League’s bottom three with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Another two goals from Danny Ings and a first-half header from Jack Stephens proved enough to see off the Villans, who could only reply late on through Jack Grealish.

For once, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have managed to take the pressure off themselves and put it on to another team when it matters and with a lot of points to play for in the next week.

The real task will be reproducing their performance from yesterday when they return to St Mary’s and building some real momentum to pull away from the drop zone.
