Southampton: Saints readying January offers for three dynamic midfielders

Southampton will want to be bolstering their defence this January with their backline looking like the weakest part of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s squad.

However, recent reports suggest that midfield additions could be another priority with the transfer window now open.

There is a definite lack of options in the full-back areas, whilst more leadership qualities are required at centre-back.

James Ward-Prowse, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oriol Romeu make up the main options in central midfield and could highlight a need for skill and pace in that particular department.
