Strikers and Substitutes

Danny Ings, Striker – 8

Shockingly, he did not take the first chance he was gifted by the Leicester defence.  Then hit the crossbar just before halftime and hit it again just 60 seconds later that would have been goal of the week. Chances kept coming in the second half and it looked like Hasenhuttl might take him off for Michael Obafemi.  Instead, Ings rewarded him with a goal to take the lead.  Just a minute later he was handed a chance to put the Foxes away, but a good save kept them in the game.  Incredibly dangerous and you feel as if he is going to score every match.

Shane Long, Striker – 6

Switched the ball and picked up an assist on the Armstrong goal.  Good hold up play as usual, but is too quick to look to play it away in good position.  For the second week in a row VAR called Long offside by literally nothing, taking away a would-be penalty.

Che Adams, Substitute Striker – 7

Given the final 15 minutes to impress in place of Shane Long.  Started the play that led to the Ings goal and put it in his path for the finish.  Impact substitute to a tee.

Moussa Djenepo, Substitute Attacking-Midfielder – N/A

Replaced Stuart Armstrong in the double switch with Adams.  A few moments on the ball and happily got in Maddison’s face who was on the floor all evening.

Oriol Romeu, Substitute Centre-Midfielder – N/A

Came in during stoppage time for Redmond to close the win out.
